Administering a MS SQL Server 2000 Database: During this five-day course students will acquire the knowledge and skills required to install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot the client-server database management system of Microsoft SQL Server™ 2000.

Day 1: SQL Server overview and planning to install SQL Server.

Day 2: Managing database files and security.

Day 3: Performing administrative tasks and backing up databases.

Day 4: Restoring databases, monitoring SQL Server for performance and transferring data.

Day 5: Maintaining high availability and introducing replication.

Prerequisite: Experience with the Windows operating system. An understanding of basic relational database concepts and knowledge of basic Transact-SQL syntax.
